Apple cider vinegar’s unique properties make it a very useful liquid for our everyday lives.

While times have certainly changed, apple cider vinegar is still versatile and well-used in many homes around the U.S. and around the world. There are many ways to integrate apple cider vinegar into your everyday routine. One of the more popular ways to use apple cider vinegar is by adding it to your diet, specifically, by adding it to your tea to boost your metabolism. Here are seven other ways which you can use apple cider vinegar to make a real change in your life.

7 Ways to Use Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

  1. Instead of adding balsamic dressing to your salad, use ACV.
  2. DIY (do it yourself) Apple Cider Vinegar All-Purpose Cleaner: 1 part water, 1 part ACV, with 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oil.
  3. ACV’s properties make a great facial toner.
  4. ACV holds antibiotic properties and pectin which can soothe a stomach ache.
  5. If you have a cat that loves to chew on cords, rub some on the cord to make it stop. Cats are not a big fan of vinegar.
  6. If you want to soothe a sore throat, adding ¼ cup of ACV with ¼ cup of warm water will do the trick. Just gargle every hour to relieve the pain.
  7. Fruit flies are an annoyance. You can create a fly trap with AVC and science! Fill a cup with ACV and add a thin layer of dish soap to the ACV. Place the cup by the fruit and wait. The soap molecules disrupt the surface tension of the vinegar allowing the flies to fall straight through and drown in the AVC.
