Things to Do at the Beach

Things to Do at the Beach

The beach should be a place for fun and relaxation, so knowing what you’re going to do before you get there is important.

Get ready for fun in the sun, the sand, and in the water! Treading and body surfing through the waves can be quite exhausting, so thinking that you and your kids are going to spend the whole evening swimming may not be the best course of action. Luckily, there are plenty of land-based activities to keep you and your kids busy until sunset. Here are three sea-themed games that are fun for the whole family.

  1. Shell Art. This is a great activity to showcase their creative side and perhaps bring out the old artist that once lived in you as well. Start by tracing the outline of some sea creature (seahorse, starfish, octopus, shark, etc.), and then filling it in with shells you find down by the sea shore. It’ll be a shell of a good time.
  2. Sand Castle. While having castle shaped buckets certainly helps, they’re not required to create great sandcastles. A little water with that sand can make it a great castle for any crab that may wander into it when everyone’s gone. (That’s assuming your children don’t also play the role of Godzilla!)
  3. Pictionary: Beach Edition. When the tide is out, a wet, sandy beach is the perfect canvas for Pictionary. Once the drawing has been guessed, just wait for the tide to clear the “canvas” and start the new round! If the tide is going faster than you’d like, you can give the tide three or four passes to give some time to draw and to guess.

Everyone needs relaxation from time to time, what better way to do that while you’re at the beach? When looking for a general contractor who can help you make the right decision, we encourage you to contact Proforma Construction. We are equipped to meet all of your commercial construction needs.
