Shrimp Scampi: Valentine’s Day Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 (8 ounce) package angel hair pasta
  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Stir in the pasta. Cook the pasta until it is al dente and drain well afterward.
  2. Place a large saucepan over medium heat and melt butter. Dump in the garlic and shrimp and mix. Stir constantly for three to five minutes.
  3. Mix in the wine and pepper. Bring the ingredients to a boil and cook for approximately thirty seconds while you stir constantly.
  4. Mix shrimp with drained pasta in a large serving bowl. Sprinkle with as much cheese as you want, add parsley. Serve immediately while hot.
